Samantha Mumba and Una Foden chose THE WORST day to reveal baby news

Their thunder was stolen by a certain royal sprog.

YOU PROBABLY KNOW by now that Kate Middleton and Prince William are expecting royal baby number two.

You may not have realised that amid the hubbub, two more celebrity women chose this time to announce their own pregnancies.

Oh.

Celfiè waiting on my date @pammer001 lol samanthamumba samanthamumba

Late last night, Samantha Mumba posted a picture of her scan on Instagram with the caption “It’s a girl!”

IT'S A GIRL!!! samanthamumba samanthamumba

Samantha had but a few hours to bask in the post-announcement glory before, at around 9.25am this morning, that little-known couple Kate Middleton and Prince William announced that they were expecting their second child.

You would have thought no self-respecting celebrity would try to have any news at all after that, right? Wrong.

Sadly, Una Foden made the grave mistake of announcing HER pregnancy right in the middle of the whole furore.

It’s a shame, because it was very sweet – she posted a picture of her two-year-old daughter Aoife on Instagram, wearing a “I’m going to be a big sister” t-shirt. Aw.

I know lots of people have been guessing and Ben and I can now confirm that Aoife is going to have a baby brother or sister next year!!! We're all very happy unathesats unathesats

Una, Samantha; we’re sorry. Maybe Kate and Wills can organise a play date with your respective sprogs to make up for it?
